Do Not Get There Too Quickly

People talk about the importance of innovation and being innovators. Sometimes along these lines:

“Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.” -Ralph Waldo Emerson

The problems start if you get there too quickly. This can be an issue. Maybe you envision a better mousetrap, but be careful that you’re not trying to roll it out too soon.

Marketing is one you often have to be more careful about than others because its whole basis is on attracting people or meeting them at their needs. If you have something in marketing that is ahead of its time it can be a problem, including if it is stolen by a big company that has all the proper channels to release it.
